Sadie
A one-woman show based on family legend, Sadie is the story of Sena Roberg Johnson Fisher Evans. The daughter of Norwegian immigrants residing in small-town Nebraska, Sena became the black sheep of her family due to her wildly progressive nature. In the early 20th century, she disappeared. Her family was told that she got on a bus to Omaha to have her goiter removed, and simply never came back.

Over a century later, her descendants discovered that nothing could be further from the truth.

Exploring ideas of identity, womanhood, generational trauma, and legacy, Sena's story lies close to my heart. This is a work-in-progress, one that I look forward to sharing with the world.
"Well. They can't have succeeded in killing me if I'm here, right?"
